3D Printing & Design

Airtec Filtration Ltd can offer your company a bespoke 3D Printing and design service.

Using the latest scanning technology we can provide scans at your site or at our St Helens Merseyside facilities,  a complete service for your business.

"More and more companies are realising the benefits or reverse engineering parts that are either too expensive or even obsolete"

Scanning Explained

Once an object is scanned it moves to the next stage. A digital 3D file is created and then manipulated in Solid works to create the desired digital file for re creation in either a mould or CNC component. All types of materials can be scanned even humans!!

Solidworks Design Software

Once we have the scanned file in Solid works we can alter the shape and sizes to suit our needs and produce various file types like STL or STEP files for 3D printing or CNC machining.

Solid works is a market leader in 3D design software and we have invested ion the latest versions of this excellent tool

3D Printing

3D Printers can now print a huge range of plastics and metals from PLA to even Gold !!

Each 3D printer has its own sophistication level for printing parts as simple as lego pieces to rocket engine parts

Obsolete Parts Replication

Airtec has had many requests for parts that the manufacturer of the OEM component state are obsolete. This is where scanning and parts replication is most beneficial and where Airtec can help you..

New Unique Parts

Our capabilities extend to re designing OEM parts that can perform better or for longer service periods at the least possible cost.

One such example is an OEM solid oil seal that we re designed in a split seal configuration saving many man hours to install when a leaking rear oil seal occurs. Could we help you with a particular mechanical problem ?

Cost Effective 3D Solutions

complex designs 3D.png

Often there ae 3D printed parts that simply could not be produced in such complex shapes other than by a 3D printer.

When chambers are required internal to a metal component for example traditional methods of moulding and CNC machining wouldn't work. 3D printing is enabling designers to create ever more complex shapes for space technology and medical applications

Can we help you with our 3D Design Service

Lets get together and discuss how Airtec can help you with your next 3D design project or reverse engineering requirements.
